My bikes

I guess a biker's blog woulden't be complete without some info about his bikes! Having said that here are mine:

This is my Klein Attitude mentioned in pervious articles. It's a sweet ride. It was modified with a Rock Shox SID fork, and Shimano XTR center lock disk brake rotors. I also use Geax tires with Stan's. It currently weighs 22.2 lbs.

This is my noble steed: my 2000 Schwinn Homegrown pro. This bike has never failed me (whatever that means, I guess just that I've never had any problems with it) It was my first legitimate mountain bike. It has mostly Shimano XT components and upgraded Bontrager Race wheels. I do the majority of my training on this bike.

Yankee Springs

I am pleased to announce that I finished 9th place in my first mountain bike race in elite class. It was a finely executed race performance and I am content. It was also difficult because I was only vaguely familiar with the trail, which was technically challenging. I felt strong even though my training has been hampered in the past weeks due to various circumstances with school, work, etc. Luckily, I will be out of school before my next race.

It was exciting to be back on the Michigan mountain bike scene again after five years of absence. Tailwind promotes excellent races that are even better than I remember. I would also like to say great riding to all the riders who rode for or from Macomb Bike and Fitness.

Results for the Yankee Springs time trial should be posted on www.tailwind.net within the next week or so.
Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures because I had to travel by myself.
